HDD's detected in OS but not BIOS

Hi all,

 

Recently I built a new server for home use and wanted to use Proxmox on it.
After getting into the BIOS, I noticed that Hard drives were not detected (4x2Tb Sata , connected via HBA). Only the SSD (directly connected to the motherboard Sata port) was detected.
Once I boot the system with the OS installed on the SSD, the Hard drives spin up (I can hear them spin up) and are detected by the OS.

 

So the problem seems to be the  HBA card (LSI SAS 9207-8i). I would like to fix this, but haven't come across anyone with the same issue.

Any suggestions?
