Hello, my PC started shutting down when i was playing some games, like the power was removed. I thought it was a faulty wall socket but after changing that the problem remained. So i thought it was a PSU issue because:

  • I got shocked when i touched a screw on the case but i haven't been able to replicate this.
  • When i plug something in a USB port it turns off sometimes.
  • I have checked the windows event log and this caught my eye:
Event ID: 41 Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
  <EventData>
    <Data Name="BugcheckCode">0</Data>
    <Data Name="BugcheckParameter1">0x0</Data>
    <Data Name="BugcheckParameter2">0x0</Data>
    <Data Name="BugcheckParameter3">0x0</Data>
    <Data Name="BugcheckParameter4">0x0</Data>
    <Data Name="SleepInProgress">0</Data>
    <Data Name="PowerButtonTimestamp">0</Data>
    <Data Name="BootAppStatus">0</Data>
    <Data Name="Checkpoint">0</Data>
    <Data Name="ConnectedStandbyInProgress">false</Data>
    <Data Name="SystemSleepTransitionsToOn">0</Data>
    <Data Name="CsEntryScenarioInstanceId">0</Data>
    <Data Name="BugcheckInfoFromEFI">false</Data>
    <Data Name="CheckpointStatus">0</Data>
    <Data Name="CsEntryScenarioInstanceIdV2">0</Data>
    <Data Name="LongPowerButtonPressDetected">false</Data>
  </EventData>

Also sometimes when i start my PC it get's stuck in the bootloader asking to plug in a device because it cannot find a OS. My OS is stored in a SSD Nvme.

PC Components:

MB: ASrock B450 Pro

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700

GPU: RX580

2 sticks of 8GB RAM GSkill Ripjaws

SSD Nvme.

2 HHD (old)

PSU : CoolerMaster MWE 550 Gold

I don't know what is the faulty component at this point, it may be the psu, the HDD or the Nvme or maybe the MB how can i find out?

Every bluescreen i have has this error, in the event viewer the only critical error message i get is the kenel-power ID: 41

Which is due to the bluescreen which is because of some kind of hardware failure.

Have you tried software like Prime95, memtest86 or Aida64 to target certain components to see if you can narrow down what's failing?

Since it's happening when you try a USB and hard drive issues would lead me to the motherboard as the primary suspect.
