GPU Crashes

I need some help!!!   im runnging a MSI GTX 780 REF. with 3770k,  corsair ax 860 80 plus PSU and my GPU has random power spicks (observed in MSI afterburnner) and then the screen goes black while the audio breaks. If it does this, it sometimes returns to normal and says Kernal driver has crashed and recovered or the screen stays black and i have to reset the system.  This is only durning gameplay and it happens across all games. Also when i need to do driver updates i have to use a third party driver removal tool (display fusion) because Geforce exp. always freezes while uninstalling old drivers but works fine when installing the new ones once the old ones are removed.  WHAT DO I DO TO FIX ANY OF THIS???   I'v heard of reinstalling windows or do I contact MSI for an RMA since newegg 30 Day has expired?
