Problems with steam crashing

Today, my steam started to randomly crash during any steam game(cs:go, arma 3). It repeats the last frame and repeats the sound aswell, i can only close the application if i open task manager and navigate one down with the arrow keys and press delete. Any help?

Same thing happening to me. Yesterday all my steam games started randomly crashing. I can run other games like league of legends and battlefield 4 fine. Don't know any solution yet, but when it freezes/crash how do you open task manager to stop the game. I can't alt tab or anything.

Did some research, do you have windows 8 and a nvidia card? Someone told me that there is an issue with w8 and nvidia cards.

Windows 8.1. Didnt have any probs before. It was the driver for me, worked fine after an update
