Acer Predator doesn’t want to stay off

nmsxsu

I recently bought an Acer Predator XB273GXBMIIPRZX, and I really like it so far but it has an issue that really annoys me. When it’s not being used and it’s in standby it keeps on turning itself on and off. It’s really annoying especially at night, when we’re trying to sleep, so I have to turn it off and on manually everytime. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sounds like Windows Hibernate or Sleep?

You can disable it if you want or dont need the laptop "on" while you are not using it

Nope, it happens when the pc is off and unplugged as well. I have it plugged to a pc, a ps5 and a switch. I don’t know if this information is of any use but I also have another monitor (different brand) plugged to the pc, and that one stays off.

Hm, sorry i thought you was talking about a Laptop not a monitor (mybad)

So the monitor unplugged will still light up or you mean to say the pc is uplugged?

I cant find anything online about a standby issue with these monitors, Is the switch of PS5 the cause perhaps as they like to "hibernate" as well

Just switch off the power socket power when go to sleep, this is safer, you had no idea when thunder will destroy it, using power surge is not 100% guaranteed as I once face it and it destroy my monitor once. Lucky it did not happen to my computer that time.

The first thing that comes to mind is do you have the correct drivers and updates for the monitor installed?

Is this a dual monitor setup, or are you only using one?

Yeah I have checked the drivers and everything, and yes it’s a dual monitor setup.
