Budget (including currency): £350-£450

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming (league, starfield, the hunter)

Other details currently have a 5700xt with a ryzen 5 3600 16gb Ram.

Just wondering what cards out there if any would be worth the upgrade (would be selling mine to my brother for £100 so please take that into considerations in terms of worth)

Current gen. I think you can get up to 7800XT with that budget.

If you don't mind last gen stuff. 6900xt

This is the only one at that price in pcpartpicker though

If they're playing at 1080p, I'd rather get something like a 6800 or 6700 xt

But btw @Poinkachu I'd rather just get a 6800 xt which performs pretty close to the 7800 xt for 70 pounds less XFX Speedster SWFT 319 Radeon RX 6800 XT 16 GB Video Card (RX-68XTAQFD9) - PCPartPicker

Well yeah. OP didn't say resolution he's playing at though, so I just gave him the highest thing he can purchase right now.

The two trade blows depending on what games/workload from what I've seen so far.

IMO, It's more to whether or not 7800 will get better with future driver updates. Whereas the 6800 most likely won't get any better from now on.

If it's me I'd probably just get that one "weirdly" priced 6900xt. Unless there's various well-known bad things about the brand/model.

But yes, if the goal is to save money too while getting a worthy enough upgrade. I'd go with what you said.
