High all, I've got a buddy with this pc that I am trying to  help identify an upgrade path for. I can't seem to find anything on this pc. The things I know are it is a prebuilt from ibuypower sometime in 2017 is was apparently classified as the "Gamer Paladin" package (including an i7-7700k, asus gtx 1070, asus prime z270-k). The biggest thing I am trying to figure out is the max card length for a GPU card. Anything I look up on google or archived sites doesn't show anything for this package or this case. I tried looking up Rosewill or Thermaltake cases with similar color schemes but nothing.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Why not just use a measuring tape and measure?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

This. If your friend is in physical possession of the case he could determine the max GPU length more accurately than specs listed on a website could, since those things often have a millimeter or two of error or "wiggle room."

Are those actually knobs on the front or just big buttons?

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

I do not think Millennials and younger know how to do this.

I'm fairly confident that this is an iBuyPower ARC 648 case. Unfortunately, there's very little information online about it.

I think you're right. Did you find this old reddit thread? The pic is small but it certainly looks like the same thing or very close, except the reddit poster's had an optical drive.

I also found a listing for an iBuyPower system with the same case on some sketchy rent-to-own site.

Ah, and here it is sold at WalMart once upon a time: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker?sku=52593204

Most of the old iBuyPower prebuilts that come up if I search for "iBuyPower Paladin" are obviously using NZXT cases from the era, sometimes with slight modification. My guess is that the "ARC 648" is also an NZXT chassis with a custom front fascia and top cladding.

Yeah, this is where I sourced my info. Shoutout to Redditors oversharing seven years ago.

Yeah, at this point he should probably just whip out the tape measure, lmao.

Thanks all for the assistance. I must have missed that reddit post @Middcore because that looks exactly alike. That's the same case my buddy has. As for measuring it, that was the first option, but what I really wanted to figure out was if there was a manual (for such info as longest GPU length, CPU cooler height, ect.)for the case and if the bays inside could be removed for more clearance. He only has the bottom slots occupied and the rest are just empty space. As is, it looks like he's only got about 20mm of extra card room.

All this because of Starfield...

Thanks again all

The "two GPU chips on one card" monstrosities that were a thing for a while are moderately sized compared to modern flagships. The GTX 690 (two 680 chips on one card) was "only" 279mm (11 inches) long!

Nowadays AIB's slap coolers longer than that on cards that aren't even at the top of the product stack. I'm looking at you, XFX! Although I think Asus might deserve blame for starting this trend by using a three-fan Strix cooler design that was the same length (although not the same thickness) on Nvidia cards from the 1080 ti down to the 1060 6GB and on AMD cards from the 5700 XT down to the 580 8GB. Apart from making it needlessly hard to fit middle-of-the-road cards in some budget cases, this also makes it harder to tell cards apart visually and therefore easier for scammers to scam people. /rant
