Set the display output in graphics drivers to 1600x900 at 60Hz. Most likely the output is higher than what the monitor can handle and hence it's blurry.

Time to upgrade your monitor if you have an RTX 3080 and an old 1600x 900 monitor. You can always go with a 1440 panel and depending on CPU, high refresh rate 1080 panel.

Spends hundreds on a GPU, won't spend $50 to get a monitor that's at least 1080p.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Nope, definitely never helped anybody.

Look dude, I'm sorry if I made you feel silly, but your purchasing priorities honestly are silly. If you got a 3080, you're clearly not broke. Instead of trying to make this ancient monitor work, splash the nominal amount of additional cash to at least get something that's 1080p and has inputs from this century. You are simply not going to have a good experience with that display. We wouldn't be "helping" you by telling you how to nurse it along.

Ok that's fine there. Just make sure the refresh rate is at 60Hz. It could be a converter issue with the adapter and just throwing off the monitors input signals. I think the blurriness is due to the adapter.

Definitely check out for monitor deals to upgrade to which I mentioned in my previous post.
