Hi peeps...

Need some guidance and wisdom... 

I am running 9th Gen i5 with 32Gb (3200) RAM and an NVME drive, paired with a GTX 1070... 
I basically only play Warzone 2.0 with occasional MW2 - and I'm dropping frames... 

I'm looking at getting a new GPU, but just can't decide what to get... 

I've only ever had Nvidia, but AMD seems to be the better choice... 

 

Any advice would be awesome...

Does your mainboard support reBAR?

 

Please, provide a reasonable (for you) budget for the upgrade.

Not English-speaking person, sorry, I'll make mistakes. If you're kind, maybe you'll be able to understand.

If you're really kind, you'll nicely point that out so I will learn more about write in good English.  🙂

how is your temps and GPU/CPU usage?

Rebar isn't supported by his components, too old.

What drives do you have?  SSD or HDD?  If HDD, look at replacing.

 

1070 is a good pairing with that CPU.  If you get a new GPU, you're going to have a CPU that can't keep up.  You have no hyperthreading either.

 

Dropped frames aren't always a GPU issue, look at your entire data pipeline to see what else can be an issue.

Temps are all good, in the mid 60 deg region, have a nice tower cooler on the cpu and stock gpu cooling... Running medium settings on Warzone 2.0 and average FPS is mid 60's but the odd drop below is what is bothering me... only run at 1080p

could be CPU related issue as far as I'm concerned, I'm not 100% on how well a 1070 can run Warzone, but it shouldn't dip very noticeably to lag or anything

 

BR games are more demanding on CPU than other games
