GPU Black screens

Hello everyone ! i just changed my gpu from my main pc to another one because i made an upgrade (from 3070 oc gigabite to 4070 ti) but with the 3070 on the other pc that i have , i have black screens and i tried reinstalling drivers etc. So i was thinking to undervolt the gpu because it has a bit high temps 87-90. Is it going to help?

Ye s it could. To undervolt install msi afterburner and follow this guide in this ltt vid from 13:34

Can you elaborate? Does the screen go black and return to normal or does it go black and then you need to restart the PC? Does it black screen when idle or only when the GPU is under load?

Undervolting is always a good thing as long as the system remains stable but I think the issue might be due to something else.

 

I had an issue a month or so ago with a PC that was causing the GPU to black screen. It turned out to be a faulty PSU. Of course it was the last thing I thought was at fault.....
