Virtual box guest additions

I have been running Kali Linux as my guest Os and wanted to install the virtual box guest additions and did that through the inserting guest additions on the menu, it had installed it but in the logs and the installation messages I got an error message which said "kernel modules and services were not loaded", I then tried uninstalling it and instead followed the instructions on the Kali Linux website to install the guest additions through APT (https://www.kali.org/docs/virtualization/install-virtualbox-guest-additions/) but I got the same error message. At this point I don't know what to do advice would be appreciated, Thanks in advance  

 

My guest OS is Kali Linux and my Host OS is EndeavourOS

My system specs are:

12700KF

3070ti

32gb 3600mhz RAM

My motherboard is the msi z690 edge wifi ddr4

virtualization is enabled in the BIOS
