I recently upgraded my GPU from a 3050 to a 4080 and I switched the graphics cards in a different room. I tried powering on in that room without a monitor and it worked (the rgb went on and the fans and everything) so then I powered off, removed the power cable, carried my Pc to my gaming room and now as soon as I turn on the power supply switch (without pressing the power button) the gpu starts flickering like a loose contact or smth. I also can’t start the PC so I’m stuck in this kind of flickering mode. The Card also doesn’t post. Aight so I’ve now decided to do a big upgrade and ordered a 13700K, 360 Galahad V2 SL-Inf, MAG Z790 Tomahawk ddr4 wifi and HX1000i. All those parts are set to arrive on Friday. In the KFA2 SG 4080 are two connectors: a mini 4 pin for Argb and a mini 5 pin for power of the clip on fan. The card also came with an adapter for 5V3pin Argb from the motherboard to two mini 4 pin Argb for the GPU and the GPU stand which also has rgb(idk what it’s called but by stand I mean the thing that prevents bending of the gpu). My dumbass didn’t see that the second connector on the GPU was a 5 pin and a power output and NOT intended for Argb input so I assumed to put both mini 4 pin Argb connectors in the GPU. I also powered on. If you know or even just think you might know if that could have damaged my mainboard or even worse my GPU, please let me know.
