Potential AM5 upgrade

Because I'm an enthusiast and can afford it.. Sure I don't need it

I’d wait for 8000 ryzen and the 8800X3D. Or even the 9800X3D since if your pc isn’t giving you a bottleneck now it won’t later. If it’s at 4K it’s unlikely to. Tho the X3D chips are more power efficient and in your closed off front phanteks case it may be beneficial. If your gonna get a new ssd then get a 2tb 980 pro or p5 plus instead since gen 5 is truly a gimmick for now and it’ll only get cheaper in the future

Budget (including currency): 1000 to 1500EUR

Country: France

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming mostly, some office work

Other details just upgrading platform from 5900X/X570, will keep the rest (in my sig)

Thinking about upgrading my CPU now..or may wait for the 8000 series, not sure ^^

Will stay AMD, due to upgradability and overall better suited for gaming imo with the 3D chips

So while the CPU would be a 7800X3D no question, I'm not sure I have much to gain on a 500EUR Aorus Master board vs a B660 Elite costing half of it..

64GB because why not, but can I downgrade to 5600CL36 with no performance loss, as 3D chips aren't memory sensitive ?

And not sure about the Gen5 SSD, the T700 seems good

What's your thoughts/advice ?

Too early dude.  You shouldn't 'be thinking of' a platform upgrade.  You'll know when you need it.  There will be better things available for far less when you actually need it.

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.

Looks like wisdom voice 🙂

But even if I wait until 8000 series (don't think I wait more than that, I want shinyyyy), what about board, RAM and SSD selection ?

Nothing new/better will appear in that time

Specs are specs for RAM, outside of that, minute tweaky stuff doesn't matter in the real world.  Motherboards have the I/O and features you need or they don't, bad manufacturing is unpredictable and I've had flawless experiences using some of the '''worst''' motherboards on the market (shockingly, if you sell a product on the mass market it usually works as advertised, as recalls are expensive).  Just remember, 99% of desktop computers use extremely basic chipsets and board layouts from dell and HP and their users are none the wiser, 'they just werk'.

IMO the stuff you picked is insanely priced and you won’t get any real value out of it.  I’ll admit some of the components in my PCs are name-brand, but that’s all from me buying parts dirt cheap on craigslist from people who think they are ‘dead’ or ‘corrupted’ because they don’t know how to install an OS correctly.
