How to disable the Youtube homepage recomendations

I only ever check the subscriptions tab anyways, but recently youtube was kind enough to stop showing me unsolicited videos,
Maybe other will find this useful, just turn off your watch history.

Might I recommend the ImprovedTube extension. It allows many customizations to your youtube experience including adjusting the home page

might i recommend two extensions and one other if you don't already have it.

youtube unhook its great and allows you to remove the home page and many other things from youtube

 

a second one is Youtube-shorts block is also great and helps to remove shorts from existence on youtube

 

and finally Return YouTube Dislike it tries to add back youtube dislikes

ImprovedTube actually contains all those functions built in. it's a phenomenal extension.

 

edit: except for maybe the 'return dislike' function. I don't bother myself so can't remember if that's been implemented yet.
