Just in case, to rule out the possibility of bad combination of old+new drivers, please use DDU utility to wipe all the Nvidia drivers and then download newest drivers (full offline package), install them without any internet connection. I found this to be the most precise method. If the problem stays, reply back and we will try to figure something out.

the guy at gigabyte said that also might work but im scared to do that, i heard it is risky to mess with the bios but idk, should i be worried ?

Yeah, sometimes it can be scary to do a vbios update. I would risk myself though, as I have done multiple vbios updates throughout the years with no issues. The problem is that if you fail with vbios flashing, you don't have any iGPU in your CPU so your PC would just turn into a giant brick at that point. Firstly, I would do a vbios backup and only then do a flash, so you could flash your old vbios back if anything breaks.

If your GPU works just fine without its fan plugged in, maybe you can cut a connector off of an old case fan, use it on your gpu fan cable, and plug it into your motherboard directly.

Wait wdym by using another fan on my gpu fan cable? If the sensor is not broken and speeds up the fans at 63 C wouldn’t it also speed up the other fan? Is there a way to fix the sensor? If I do the bios flash, and it goes wrong how would I restore the backup if I can’t see the screen anymore?

Well, your GPU controls the fan speed. Your motherboard surely wouldn't make your fans go 100%, so plugging GPU fans into the motherboard would fix the fans going 100% issue, unless GPU won't go full load because the fan is disconnected. I just don't know how the GPU will react. Purely speculation.
As far as I understand, temperature sensor in on the board itself or in the gpu die, so I don't think it is possible to fix it. I could be wrong though.

Have you tried all popular utilities for GPU configuration adjustment? Maybe one out of however how many will work to reduce the fan speed. There are so many.

You can only restore your vbios with a working computer, so because you don't have iGPU, you wouldn't be able to do that.

Probably there is still a thermal issue, even though you replaced the thermal paste already.

Do you have software to monitor memory junction, hot spot temp and fans speed (both RPM and %)?
If not, you can try "Argus Monitor".

Please test this:

1. set the fans speed % to 100 with Afterburner. Without gaming or any load on the GPU, look how many RPM is 100% ?

2. now set the fans speed to automatic, start a game or benchmark, e.g. furmark, and check again for Fans speed in % and RPM.

--> Do they now spin faster, compared to 100% manually? (If you can't see the RPM in Argus Monitor, can you tell by pitch and loudness^)

Also for the 2nd test, what is the hotspot and memory junction temperature?

I don’t even know how I would go about plugging in my gpu fans into my motherboard, I looked it up and no answers on yt

as far as I can tell, these are the fans:

https://www.gpufanreplacement.com/collections/gigabyte-graphics-card-fan-replacements/products/gigabyte-rtx-2070-2080-2080ti-gaming-super-gaming-fan-replacement

they have a 12v 4pin connector, so probably it just fits into your mobo? ^

But you'll need a software, that can adjust fan speed according to your GPU temps, otherwise, it will overheat, as soon as you put load on it.

Anyways, can you check how much RPM the fans have, when they spin like hell? Also memory junction and hotspot temp would be interesting to know. If there is a real thermal issue, the fans could spin in an "emergency mode", much faster than 100% would be. This still also could be a sensor issue, but it is kinda unlikely.

It's not that simple of course, as you will probably need some software to control the fans based on GPU temp.

In your case, as @Mischka just said, you actually don't need any adapters and can just plug it into your motherboard with no additional adapters or wiring job.
I suggest testing it first by plugging the fans into the motherboard and see how high the temps go. You can always quit the game/or stop the stress test and let the temps stabilize, don't worry.
