front audio ports isnt working

user145089198

i want to use earpods on pc but front ports is not working. hd audio cable is correctly plugged. i cant  find hd audio manager at task bar, control panel also there is no realtek folder at program files. then i tried deleting drivers with ddu at safe mode but driver appeared after even ethernet unplugged. at hd audio manager there is no "Disable front panel jack detection" option. i tried deleting driver and driver suddenly appeared all the time. my plan was deleting driver and installing new so now i can enable jack detection thing. what should i do?

Have you downloaded the audio drivers from your motherboard's support page?

Also not sure why you used ddu? It manages display drivers, the only audio drivers it touches would be the HDMI output from your GPU.

Oh I didn't even realize that's a feature.

I think you should figure out first whether it's a software issue or hardware issue. But assuming it's software, try disabling windows from automatically installing drivers, then go into control panel and uninstall all audio devices, then try installing your mobo realtek drivers again. Remember to re-enable windows driver updates.
