Hi, i'm looking into swaping my jank 3 normal pc used as nas with no ethernet switch for a "professional" Grade Server Rack.

i already have most the Hardware as for the performence side of thing, but when it come to networking, i'm a complete noob. so i need;

-about 1000ft of ethernet cable cat7(for 10gbps)

-connectors

-keystone

-tools needed to install everything

-a good 10gbps switch with 5-8 ports

i'm from Quebec Canada and all the brands that people recomend on reddit are either only available trough resellers that only sell to other company or i find some on amazon but it look more like a knock off version of the real product than the real thing.

so i'm wondering do you know a website that could sell all these thing directly to a customers?

do you have any brands to recomend me for all the parts i needs?

p.s. the budget is more of an idea than a hard limit, if i need to blow the budget i will lmao

p.p.s. picture are there to show some of the hardware i've got already

p.p.p.s. when i said "gaming-NAS" in the workload description, this will be a NAS Server on wich i install my steam game. i already have a server doing this for the last 3 years and it's working great(game in 1080p60hz not sure if it could hold up to higher resolution but i don't really care).

Thanks, cable also come in a bunch of different colors also wich i really like since i'm TRYING to make it look as good as those picture posted by IT Professionals with all the colored cables comming from the seitch perfectly cable managed(i'm kind of a freak about cable management, love it with all the passion of my heart, would love to do this for a living)

also, i've seen that the cable is cat6A and the specs are the same as cat7, what's the difference between the 2? because if cat6A is the same, it will help the cost and choice i have a lot hahah

and as for the tools, are there anything else than a crimper, a punch and a cable tester that i will need?

Do a search for local bulk ethernet cable suppliers. If you are in Quebec or Montreal you should get a few hits. Most bulk cable suppliers carry connectors, etc.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
