Notes

The main contention point with the build is the GPU. I am deciding between a RTX 4070ti or RTX 4080 but an RX 7900 XTX maybe a good alternative. I would like to hear your thoughts and recommendations for the build and specifically the choice of GPU. If a higher performance GPU is chosen like a 4080 should the CPU be upgraded to a i9 13900k. I would prefer most internal PC parts to be white, however colour is absolutely not a deal breaker. Also an additional monitor could be added within a few years. I am looking to put the PC together myself within the next month. If parts are recommended I would prefer sourcing them from Australian Stores like MSY, Centre Com, (PCCG) PC Case Gear, JB-HI-Fi Etc.

Edit: MATLAB Requires CUDA cores, therefore a Nvidia GPU is required

Cheaper SSD while still providing the same experience.

4070 Ti for 4K is going to be a problem in the future, 12GB VRAM is maybe the new standard for 1440p.

7900 XTX is a good choice but I'm not sure if any of your software requires CUDA cores or not, CUDA is only available in Nvidia GPUs.

Cheaper PSU, that PSU is way too overkill for this PC.

I would run that build like this so that you get decent frame rates on some of the more demanding games.

Yeah, i know. Big fucking bummer. I personally would go to sell it or refund it for that GP750. The only 4K144 card that dont need to play on muddy textures right now are luckily overclocked 7900XTX and 4090.
