Old Mac Mini as NAS?

Does anyone know of an easy and simple way to utilize my old Mac Mini as a NAS?

Its a 2011 version if that matters. I would prefer a solution which is "noob"-friendly as I am not experienced with NAS-software/set up.

Main though is to use the Mac Mini as the brains, and add on HDD/SDDs externally.

 

I have tried to research it, without getting any wiser....

I believe macOS has built in file sharing features but you can use true nas, free nas etc.
