PC won't turn back on

I went to install more ram in my pc. I got the exact part number as the two sticks I already had in there. I installed them and it wouldn't post so I did a clear cmos... but I was stupid and did it while my pc was on, and with the cmos battery still in. Now my power button isn't doing anything. I've tried manually shorting the power pins but that isn't working either. Did I fry something??

Okay it lives! I took the battery out and cleared it again, waited a good 20 seconds. I put the battery back in, plugged it in and it came on with the power button. Panic mode off
