What would you recommend? I currently have a Mac mini runny 24/7. Im looking to start a server for a few buddies and a MC server. Should I buy a Mac mini server? Or get something like a raid array? I dont exactly know what the units called but you put all the HDDS into it and connect it to your desktop? lmk

Do you need one with RAID? Do you ABSOLUTELY have to have RAID? RAID is fast, but it doesn't work wonders for your drives' endurance. I mean, there are plenty of NAS units out there, and you can build your own 2TB-4TB+ with a AMD A4 or a Intel Celeron for like, $350...

 

I think you're getting Minecraft servers confused with home servers. A home server can be as anemic as a Celeron, but something to host MC should probably be a good Intel quad. You don't need a GPU I think.
