We can't give you any recommendations when you don't tell us what you want from a keyboard and what features are mission-critical or optional "nice to have"

  • Retailers and Country?
  • All black aesthetic? (stuck with gamer brands, most other brands are more of a two-tone color scheme)
  • Full-size, 96%, TenKeyless (TKL), 75%, 65%, 60%
  • Macro keys (you're basically stuck with gamer brands)
  • Media keys
  • Volume/Programmable Knob
  • Key re-mapping
  • RGB (and do you want the light to shine through the keycap letters?)
  • Hot-swappable PCB (for when a switch fails or when you get bored)
  • Is loudness important? (Hot-swappable PCB will be a requirement for aftermarket silenced switches)
  • Do you even want a mechanical keyboard ... ?
