I had a i9990kf with a pretty crappy motherboard it was rhe cheapest at the time. Today I just got a AMD ryzen5800x I know.its better but idk how much it is. Also noting I got a way better mother board so it will definitely help performance.

Motherboards don't generally boost performance to my knowledge unless u had the most crappiest known to mankind but u can use cpubenchmark to check

What are you using your PC for? If it is for gaming the perfomance increase is negligible.

Performance increase from a better motherboard is probably also negligible, unless your previous motherboard was a real dud. Plus it is really hard to say that because you are on an entirely different platform.

Motherboard regulates the power delivery to the CPU, if it has terrible hardware, the power delivery would be impacted, therefore performance is impacted. This is especially important for CPUs that consume a lot of power, but for lower end CPUs, it is fine.

5800X performance over 9900KF in gaming is not that much different, like 1-3% at most. That is if your 9900Kf was on a very low end board, maybe more than 1-3%, but still won't be a lot.

Occassionaly visits the forum when I have nothing to do at work.

Yeah, i only see the positive of this upgrade being the ability to get 5800X3D which would trounce in cache strained titles and frame time (but i mean its 9th gen so frame time is always horrible), but beyond that its not that big of an upgrade.
