Temp problem

Go to solution Solved by Ominousdrake,

on laptops high temps are normal. is it summer where you are? during summer Laptops run even hotter . try and help your laptop by getting a "cooling pad" basically a base with fans on it to help your laptop get air from below and give it some breathing room.if its still happening you can always try and repaste your laptop with a better thermal paste. but you gotta be careful doing it if you are going to do it yourself. even if your laptop gets better temps your laptop will use that thermal headroom to boost longer and higher which will result in high temps still, its the nature of laptop. as long as you dont see thermal throttle it doesnt really matter. GPU does seem a bit high but as long as its not reaching 85 C it isnt that bad.

Hi

Recently I was watching temperature of my laptop components .I have a question , is it normal for CPU to reach 92'C and GPU 78'C (hot spot 81'C) Once my GPU was 86'C .I have lenovo legion 5 from 2021 with ryzen 5 5600H and rtx 3060 mobile. If it's not normal, is there any way I can lower temp? I recorded temperature when playing a fallout 76 1440p for an hour(Info if it helps)

I would appreciate your advice

Its hot but not unresonable for a laptop. Gaming laptops do run quite hot.  You can use compressed air to clean the fan of dust so it can operate better and it will remove some dust from the heatsink as well.  You can buy compressed air in cans for computer use.

You can also open the laptop to be able to clean it a bit better.

Best option would be to apply fresh thermal paste but this does require you to open the laptop and do quite a bit of disassembly.
