Got a new GPU

I bought a new GPU about RX5700xt.When i open Red Dead Redemption 2,my GPU power dissipation go to 189W.BUt my 400W PSU suddenly die.AND NEVER BOOT AGAIN!

Does someone can tell me what is the problem about that.

Now i must turn on the GPU power limit.

The model please.

 

Even an excellent quality 400w isnt going to do well with a rx 5700xt since that pushes 225w. A high end one will handle it just work hard.

 

Anything low end (2hich is usually what they are at this wattage) will kinda just die

My psu is aigo Knight of Darkness PSU from China.But when i change a HuntKey PSU and a Cooler Master PSU the issue had no change

The aigo lies to you it cannot do that.

Segotep has very few good ones.

 

Just a heads up wattage, efficiency,... mean NOTHING if the quality of construction isnt there. Its why there is a psu tier list

Oh so you bought a segotep gm?  If it's actually a gm750 then yeah that is a good psu and far more than plenty.

Goes to show how important quality psu's are. You are lucky the old ones didnt cause any damage
