Long story short, I was changing my gpu and thought it would be a good idea to fresh install my drivers. I installed ddu, booted safe mode and uninstalled drivers. But I checked the option to not letting windows to install drivers automatically. Now there is no display coming and I dont know what to do. I know it is all my fault, I shouldve been more mindful doing something like this. I have a r5 5600x so onboard is not an option. I got an rx580 and an rx 6700 xt if that helps any. I got an msi b550 gaming edge wifi. Im on win 10 64 bit. I would be so happy if there is any way to undo or solve this. Thanks for your time.

That sounds weird. You do get boot screen, just not windows right? If you plug in the old card, does it work? Should work fine with no drivers, it still has legacy.

Not even boot screen? If not then it's something else. Might be PSU related or something. I would try removing GPU and turning off PSU. Then Remove CMOS battery for 5 min and then try again with one of the cards. If this isn't working. Then you need to test the cards in another machine or test using another PSU.

I had this happen when I switched from a GTX 980 to a GTX 1080 and later again when I switched to the RX6700XT.

In my case it were the ports. HDMI and DP wouldn't work, but DVI did always work. I used a DVI-D to HDMI cable to get it running and install the correct drivers. Try that if you can and if you can't, at least try HDMI or DP, depending on which one you haven't tried.

Very useful! Maybe try using HDMI then @Xqezz If you got more monitors connected, try with one connected

PSU should be fine then unless dead for some reason, I'm sure @Senzelian's fix is working. Yes try with one at a time

Do you get signal at least in BIOS, if so check if CSM is on as that very much  conflicts with both of the GPUs you have, windows always throws up at least the generic adapter but worst case you'll have to reinstall

Im probably going to do a clean windows reinstall

Hello, I know this is an older post but I'm having this exact same issue with similar components, did you happen to fix the issue somehow?

I have a ryzen 5 5600x and radeon 6800xt, asus prime 650m-a and enermax 80+ 750w psu, windows 10 x64 bit

They all worked fine until I used DDU, but in my case windows booted after restarting after using DDU, but it failed saying something went wrong and Windows booted up again, i saw the windows screen again saying something went wrong and it rebooted again, then it was a black screen, seems like no usb signal either from any port, hdmi cable works fine, but my monitor only has hdmi and dp, havent tried dp.

I tried unplugging the gpu to boot with the integrated graphics but it does nothing. So I dont know what to do and would appreciate some help., I will make a new post to see if anyone know a solutions.

I just want to reinstall windows somehow
