Greetings!!!

I've been using the dell wide screen monitor (u2913wm) with a resolution of 2560*1080p. I recently got a samsung UHD tv. I want to run both the monitors with the same pc. However when I do this the resolution on the dell monitor is really messed up and I've tried a lot to fix this but failed !!! (The dell monitor runs on 2560*1080 but the icons and fonts/texts look weird) can any one please help me with this!!! I want to be able to use these screens in extended mode!!

the uhd tv runs perfectly fine in 4k no problems at all!! just that the extended monitor looks weird!! (tv is connected via HDMI cable and the dell monitor with a dvi cable)

thanks!!

So, you need help extending the desktop now? When you right click the desktop and go to screen resolution, set the mode to extend instead of duplicate.

sorry guys if i was not clear before!! but I have the screens running in extended mode!! both running on their native resolutions (ie 3840*2160 and 2560*1080 respectively). the samsung screen works just fine no problems, but the dell monitor looks very weird (as if it is not running on its native resolution)  the 4k tv is set to be my primary screen!!

It sounds to me like even though your Dell monitor is at it's native resolution, your GPU is sending it a 4K image. Keep in mind that that's a guess and I don't even know if that's possible. Try setting it to duplicate, then reset it to extend in case there was some fault that happened when you set it to extend originally.
