Hyper V

Go to solution Solved by BasicWombat,

Looks ok to me.

What vCPU and RAM have you allocated to the virtual machine?

Hi Guys I've got a Windows Server Setup in Hyper V in a VM but the server manager is showing red in performance tabs all AD services I have running for a Domain Controller I've got a 5600x and 32GB of ram the reason I'm running hyper v is were it's a type 1 hypervisor that's built into windows 11 and when I checked the performance tab it said my CPU utilization was 98.99% but when I look into task manager in my windows server vm its 0 to 3%  and even hyper v shows CPU utilization is 0 to 3% when not doing much hers a screenshot how would I fix this issue because this is my main gaming pc im running this on as well. any help and guidance on how to resolve this would be much appreciated thanks.

Does the Task Manager showing that Hyper-V services are consuming the CPU?

Can you provide a screenshot the Windows 11 Host and it's consumption?

Generally, the CPU usage will on be what the software is using at that time.

These results aren't adding up. From your screenshots all the performance is ok except the Server Manager reading.

When opening Server Manager, it will consume a lot of CPU as it tries to calculate the settings and alerts but should die down once it's done.

Are you saying that in Server Manager the CPU is 99%, while at the same time Task Manager is only showing 1%?

What do these look like side by side?
