So basically everytime i load into a game or play something load up to my computer my cpu is always at 100% when i open task manager i dont see gpu on there until i click the performance tab is that i try to play a game and then tab out for a second everything starts to freeze on me discord crashes ive been having this problem for a while now i didnt really see an issues that much but it just started getting worse and worse please help.

Assuming that you don't have any rogue programs or spyware eating up your resources, the first place to look is probably your drivers. If you have the latest GPU driver already, try rolling back to an earlier one. The latest driver could have a problem with your setup.

 

How long has it been since you did a clean install? It's a PITA to do, but can make a machine more stable.

So i clean installed i would say around February Because it was happening to me before that and i thought it was my pc just getting old so i started upgrading the parts to the specs i have now i recently updated my driver on geforce experience idk if theres a different way of downloading the graphics drivers and to be honest i dont think i have any rogue programs or spyware eating my resources is there any way to check

What games are you trying to play? It's possible the card is too old for the games, causing the I7 to do more processing.

 

When you say you did a clean install, do you mean you fully reinstalled the entire OS? Also, make sure you are not overheating the CPU or throttling.

since you have a 9700K, are you overclocking at all?

Just regular valorant so it should be taking too much but it runs at 100% idk if it’s overclocked bc when I put it on my mother board it goes up to 4.6 mhz and then when I tell my motherboard to ai overclock it goes up to 5.1 mhz so I don’t really think I’m throttling it unless I ai overclock it

Temps always stay at 50 I have a kraken elite 240 cpu stays at 50-60
