Aorsus fo48u problem

So the built-in speakers on this monitor suddenly made a loud noise and then now the audio is extremely muffled/distorted. It also makes a very loud ticking noise. I've tried different cables, ports, computers, etc. The noise even persists for a while when it's not connected to a PC. Muting the monitor and on my PC doesn't work either. I think it's a hardware issue? Are there any fixes I can do before I request a warranty repair? I don't really want to ship such a large item across the country from east to west coast.
