New Build, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/zPBHv3

Keeps crashing when I run games, buzzing noise and flashing green for about 10 seconds then the system freezes. Drivers are up to date and I did flash to the latest bios.

It's stable in windows.

I don't know where to start to fix this as this is my first build.

Please help

remove your 7900XTX and try to run the game on the iGPU on your CPU, see if it keeps happening ( plug HDMI into motherboard )
If its ok then your GPU might be faulty, this looks really bad.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have just tried this.

It's seems to be fine running the onboard graphics

Can you try anonter game? or a synthetic benchmark like the 3DMArk Demo?

And have you any way in measuring the Power consumption at the outlet?

This seems to be GR: Wildlands which is known to some for being a buggy as fuc# game with strange things happening here and there, but never this.

Try either running the iGPU by either forcing it in BIOS (then use an HDMI/DisplayPort cable from Motherboard to Display)

or take the GPU out then use an HDMI/DisplayPort cable from Motherboard to Display

It is wildlands, good spot. It also happens in the other games I have insso far, spiderman miles moralis, F1 2022 and No mans Sky.

It mit be that even though you have a sufficient PSU your card has some power spikes that are higher than your PSU can provide? (My 6950XT tripped the OCP (iguess) of my PSU when running it on only one 12V rail, even though in theory the one rail should be more than enough to power the 6950XT).

I would also contact the support of either the Retailer and/or ASRock and just tell them about your problem... it might after all "just" be a broken GPU...

If that fixes it, contact the retailer and try to get an RMA. Faulty graphics cards can always happen and it's not the rarest occurrence but it's something any retailer should always cover.

I have contacted the retailer. I'll wait and see what they say
