I thought it could work thru USB, but since I learned it does not, so I came up with another solution, can I use 1X PCIE slot for EGPU?

I am going to build DIY EGPU and in the pcie riser the usb to 1x PCIE is included so that is pretty much my only solution if it's possible

1x? Even on pcie gen 4 that would only be 64gb/s bandwidth from the gpu to the mobo lane

Yeah but here comes the funny part, we got only one 3rd party shop in the entire country that has offers usually made of extremly expensive high end GPUs, and there is litteraly no LP offer, before you mention Ebay, Nope, that shipping is extremly expensive. Anyways back to the topic, what impact will it have on my GPU if I use 1x pcie?

Well, if your not gaming then it's alright. But if its anything intensive on the gpu it'll struggle. Probably not too much if its a low end gpu but it'll still struggle. Even if its pcie 4.0 (which it'll have to be for a decent gaming experience)

Also what's that one shop?

Let's not extend this and do a quick summary, the card will be 16 times worse?

Or worse, because the  riser you’re talking about isn’t designed for what you’re trying to do. It’s a crypto mining riser and will likely not do true PCIE 3.0 1x speeds but 2.0 or even 1.1 1x speeds. Additionally, it will not provide sufficient power for any card that tries to draw power from the PCIE  connection itself.

And what if I bought PCIE extender instead and from the PSU I wanted to use for egpu I will plug the 8 pin cable? Or is that a fire hazard?
