Budget (including currency): $3000 USD

Country: U.S.A.

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily gaming, some 3D modeling

Other details

I'm starting from scratch so the budget includes monitor, peripherals, etc.

With the cheap prices on Amazon right now, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on starting my first build. Here is my proposed parts list on pcpartpicker

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Aaron001/saved/MfJZQ7

CPU: 5800X3D

cooler: noctua NH-D15

Mobo: ASUS TUFF gaming x570 plus

Ram: gskill ripjaws 2x16 3200

Case: 4000D airflow

PSU: corsair RM1000X (80+ gold)

Monitor: Samsung odyssey G8

Keyboard: Logitech G915

Mouse: Logitech G502 lightspeed

This all adds to just under my budget on pcpartpicker. I am open to all recommendations and thoughts on this parts list.

This looks ok but I'd start a new build on am5 with a 40 series/AMD radeon 7000 series gpu

try this

Some fairly odd choices in here

Hovering around your budget you'd likely be much happier with something like this

Removed my list - refer to @filpo's. Blew mine out of the water

I know you're a mod and can't condone the 'Bay, but at least comment that you don't have to give Shitsoft $99 for their OS. 🙂  Unactivated for the win!!!!

Are you sold on those Logitech peripherals?  For that price, you can get a very nice mechanical keyboard with switches YOU want.

Also, for your price point, you can get a really well built and gorgeous case to house all this.  4000D is meh.

The peripherals are definitely more of a placeholder, I had heard really good things about the G502, but the G915 Keyboard was more about eliminating cables than anything. Also, is there a forum on how to get the unactivated os?

When you install Windows, it is unactivated if you don't put in a serial number.  So get it from here, to install off USB...

https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

It's where all us builders get our Windows 10/11 to install basically.  It'll ask for a key midway thru install or so, just say you don't have one and keep going.
