Go to solution Solved by Why_Me,

This cpu will mop the floor with the 7600X and 7700X in gaming and video editing. The MSI psu is ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0. btw that 120mm Arctic fan goes inside the back of that case for an exhaust fan.

Budget (including currency): $2100 USD (including monitor)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General Gaming (FPS, souls, indie, AAA, etc.) Would like it to be able to handle most games at mid to high settings. Light cuda programing so GPU does have to be Nvidia (Unfortunately). Light Adobe photo editing (illustrator)

Other details: I plan to buy within the next 1-2 months. This will be my first build, so I will have no existing parts or experience. I have all peripherals except a monitor and want to play at 1440p and at least 100hz (only one monitor setup). Case aesthetics don't particularly matter to me, but I would like for the case to have really good airflow, as this will be an air-cooled build. Looking to build on AM5 so that I have options to upgrade in the future. GPU needs to have at least 12gb of VRAM. Thanks!!

Not bad, but you overspend on the cooler, a PE120 costs $40 and will work as well on a 90W max CPU

Savings would allow you to get a 7700X

But if we go with a 7900 xtx we could get a better mobo, a thermalright PA120, some more storage and a better psu as well as a better monitor
