Does disabling BD PROCHOT even do anything?

BD PROCHOT is just throttling thats triggered by the extra board sensor instead of just the CPU die sensor, which you cant disable for obvious legal reasons.

In ThrottleStop, does disabling PROCHOT limit even do anything? I can still see my CPU thermal throttling in load (laptop). So, why is this option even there if doesn't work very well? Also other Power and Thermal throttling options in Windows itself also don't have any effect. Idk, if they try to do anything, but the hardware level and firmware level protections have the highest priority. So why are these options there?
