would there be any issues with it powering my current 4080?

No

Hi I know this is a dumb question but it's one I couldn't find the answer to online. I currently run a 4080 using the out of the box 3x8 pin power adapter however I am about to purchase a custom cable kit from cablemod which makes a 12pin high power to 3 8 pin plugs that go directly into my AX1500i power supply. However I'm planning a monitor upgrade in the future that would warrant me to sell my card and upgrade to a 4090 instead, if I instead get the 12pin to 4 8 pin cable that is meant for a 4090 would there be any issues with it powering my current 4080?

Thank you I appreciate any feedback

Why not just get Corsairs own cable that connects directly to the PSU?
