Gpu not displaying on bios or devices

Bought a slightly used computer today. Previous owner reset the computer to clear everything off but after the reset the bios and device manager is not reading the GPU.

Specs:

  Cpu: Intel i7-7700x

Gpu: Nvidia 1050 (and 980 came with both not reading either)

  Mobo: Asus prime z270-A

Tried resetting CMOS batt, going to try both cards in another PC and the 1660 in that PC in the one I just got but hoping not to hurt the PCs or the cards. Any additional help would be appreciated on what might be wrong. Was bought as a gift meant to be lower budget so not trying to rebuild the entire PC to get it to work.

intel 7700X ? not rather 7700K ?

And if 7700K, than it has an igpu and you could try using the HDMI on the MB

I'm willing to swim against the current.

Do you know the previous owner? So you never actually had it working?

Using the display port on Mobo, and it's a 7700x should work with the igfx but would like a GPU if I can.

See if you can get a known working graphics card working in the second or third full size PCIE slot. If not, then more than likely that thing either has a problem with the socket or the motherboard.

Ya, I tried both the graphics cards given with the second pcie slot. I have one that I can try, I was also going to try the two cards in a known working mobo
