Will this bottle neck ?

Go to solution Solved by ProKoN,

most people, including myself will recommend 2x8GB rather than 4x4GB

4x4 can be difficult to run if you occupy all 4 slots.

I have always had better luck with overclocking my cpu with only 2 dimms occupied vs 4

get 2x8gb sticks and i can almost guarantee you wont have the need to purchase any more ddr3, thats pretty future proof.

when will the average gamer \ user need more than 16gb? No idea...no time soon tho, maybe 1 or more years

Hello guys , I'll just make it short

Parts that I alreaDy purchased

Gtx 770 4gb

Wd black 1 tb

G1 sniper z87

850 watt silverstone strider

I5 4670k

Mainly gonna use the PC for gaming and multitask , no video recording or related

And now I can't decide On the rams I should I get ,

I do like the hyper x fury and I intend to get 2x 8gb (1600 mhz),

so my question is , does it gonna bottle neck the rest of my parts ? In anyway possible

Nope, none what so ever.  You could save some money by going with a less expensive Z87 motherboard.  Less expensive HDD, 2GB VRAM 770 instead of 4GB, and a lower wattage PSU 550-600W of Bronze rated power will easily power a 1GPU, 1 CPU(both overclocked) setup.

Ahh ok, even SLI you won't run into any bottleneck issues, and yes, an 850W PSU will be plenty for SLI.

Its a very nice PC.

only in benchmarks will you see an improvement if you go with higher frequency kit with good timings. my fav kit as of right now

For gaming and normal day to day use 1600mhz ram is the standard. you really dont get any real world benifits from faster ram as of right now, just benchmarks scores are higher :)

I think 16GB is the sweetspot right now.

the 16GB will aid in multitasking, multiple tabs open etc.

you may see no real benefit in regards to gaming.

Id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Who knows what the future of gaming holds for memory capacity \ bandwidth.

How far is the futureproofing wise in your opinion (16gb)

I intend to fill up the whole ram slot , unless convinced otherwise (.with 4x4 )

Ok I understand what you mean , thanks a lot ,

The only reason why i wanted 4x4 because if the color choice ....

8x 2 only left red from the person I am going to buy from , and red don't suit my mobo .... :( green and black :(
