My Motherboard Does Not Have A USB-C Header, But My Case Does

I am using the

MSI B550 GAMING GEN3 ATX AM4 Motherboard which does not have a USB-C header, however the Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case has a connector for it.   I don't really want to get an adapter, so is it that important to not have USB-C connected?

The port wont do anything on the case if it is not connected to the motherboard. Its fine.

Most of my junk still uses USB 2.0, and my case has 2x USB 3 ports (connected to my mobo). So I might be really newb with this stuffs. But isn't your USB-C case header able to connect to your USB 3.0-ish port on your mobo?

Not without an adapter. See this example Amazon link.  New motherboards have a "USB C" port that is different from the USB 3 port. Most have both of these ports now.

it just wont work.  no problem
