Help deciding on components for new ultrawide gaming system (first build.)

Shay7557

Budget (including currency): Excluding peripherals, 2000-2500 euros

Country: Spain

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly used for gaming (triple A titles and the odd competitive title - Dead Space remake, RDR2, The Last of Us, STALKER 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, CS:GO.)

Other details: I've used my current PC for a good 6/7 years now, with an i7-6700k and a GTX 980. It's kept up faily okay up to now, however, it's struggling to perform with the newer titles as you would expect for the system. I'm using 34" Acer Predator ultrawide monitor (3440x1440) 120hz. I don't need a Windows licence to be included in the build as I already have one. Side note on cases/fans: I don't care about a flashy case or RGB fans, a plain but quality PC case is fine by me (eg: a Be Quiet! case.)

Hi guys, as the title says I'm looking for some help from more experienced users with regards to my new system. I'm not as knowledgable on parts anymore (ever since I bought my current PC I stopped following news on the latest components/hardware.)

I would put together a PC Part Picker list, however, every list I've made I've started to doubt myself on what will work for me because even with research you'll stumble across forum posts or youtube videos on why X component might not be great. I don't have experience with building computers, however, I've seen enough Linus Tech Tips build videos to know how to put one together I hope 😃.

I do live in a hot country, so I am thinking about PC temperatures (roughly 22 degrees on days outside of summer, 25-30 on summer days with 30 degrees Celsius being the odd day of the month.) If the case/fans could be quiet (or on the quieter side) that would be preferable, I don't want it to sound like I've got a locomotive in my room 😃.

The CPU and GPU I *had* settled on were the intel i7-13700 and an ASUS TUF 4070 12gb (is that overkill? As I said, I am no expert.)

Thanks for reading and any help you might give me 😃.
