I have no ideea if this is the right place to post this but i need your help.

Hello,

First of all, thank you for all the awesome videos you and the team make!

I have an issue with my GPU (2070 super from gigabyte). I bought the GPU in september 2019 and i got 4 years of warranty but now when i try to RMA the card they told me that it's no longer in warranty.

I have been sending them emails with the screenshots i have attached here but they will not respond.

It wouldn't be such a big deal but the thing is i'm from Europe and i had to send the GPU over to America for them to RMA it and now they aren't even answering to emails.

Any advice would be awesome.

did you double check that the numbers were correct ?

if the identifying serial number is simply one digit incorrect to what was registered then quite simply hard to get that sorted.

Did you make a photo of your card showing the serial number corresponds to the online RMA number ?

You only get 4year warranty if you register your GPU on https://member.aorus.com/ (within 30 days of purchase) as it states on the box and on the paper card inside the box with all the links.

yeah I totally forgot about that....I had a similar card in the box for registering my aorus 1080ti years ago.

I simply assumed he paid for the extended warranty on purchase.

I have been very lucky over the years.....used gigabyte GPUs of all types over the years even ran the 560ti's in SLI when it was a thing the 760 1080 but today an MSI 3080.

Motherboards go all the way back to my first build back in 1998-9 but no idea of the name any more. in the last 23 years never had the misfortune to have a faulty item never had to RMA.

If I had an issue I would also be one of the many complaining I suppose but as I have never had an issue to complain I have also never taken time out to shout praise etc. I assume I am one of the many silent people that bought the item used it and never suffered so never felt the need to say anything at all.

As for online registration I had the same with WD HDD many years ago and the communication was excellent and the warranty was accepted but the Drive went into the bin as I had to pay for delivery to the USA which was more than the price of the Drive at the time. Sending stuff overseas is a barrier i feel many companies use to simply duck out of responsibility as if the consumer is left with postal fees that are horrendous when sending overseas it seems like some bright spark in a boardroom simply had the idea as a means to reduce cost and maximize profit.

I did that, it's the same number as on my GPU's box and on the website where i registered the product after i bought it.

They are clearly asking for the invoice/proof of purchase - do you have one?

Why they need one is another discussion...

I emailed that to them, still no response

then I would start doing things as linking this thread via an email to Gigabyte.

Basically if you have done all you said above the Gigabyte are the ones on the wrong side of the fence with the RMA.

Just use what power you have as a consumer.

Let them see how you have via this LTT forum thread tried to seek advice where a Company simply refuses to honour the agreements that were made to a customer.

No idea if it will resolve the issue but in general if a enough shit hits the fan then they go panic mode and respond if they feel it is going to hurt them
