Expanding RAM

I currently have 2x4gb sticks of ram in my PC. I'm looking to upgrade to 16bg, I was wondering will i need to get the exact same memory for it to operate at its full extent or can i just get something similar. I currently have G Skill 8G(2x4G)DDR3 1600Mhz PC3-12800 CL8(F3-12800CL8D-8GB

would it be more bennificial to just buy the same RAM or would any old ram do? .

yea u need same speed as that ram to amke it work

You can get different speed memory but all 4 sticks will run at the speed of the lowest stick.

just get the same ram, it would be more reliable than mixing and matching
