I mean if it runs fine whatever you're running you don't need to, but you could, FPS in games will go up from 5-50%, all depends on the game, is it GPU or CPU intensive. Roughly.

That kind of calculations are trustworthy at all, and you've asked for "general tasks" not gaming...

And it really depends on games, some are all GPU heavy some CPU heavy

But well easy way to tell is to monitor your GPU usage ingame, if it falls under 80% it's a noticeable bottleneck
