Things to do after buying new computer

Marlon P.

Hi! I'm sorry if this is the wrong place or if this question already appear to death here but I coul'd not find what I was lookin for...

I'm wondering if there is a list of things that I should enable/disable right away after getting a new computer

For instance: Verify if I can use resizeble bar and if it is enabled, if not, enable it

Things like that, that could improve my performance by doing "simple things that everybody should be sure to do"

First of all, define computer.

Is it laptop? desktop?

If it's desktop, is it prebuilt ? or DIY.

In Windows, open task manager, select "Performance" tab, then select Memory from the left side panel.

See on the bottom right at what speed your RAM is running, if it's not the same speed as you bought it means XMP/DOCP/EXPO is off.

Go to BIOS, Turn it on.

While in BIOS you can also check for Resizable-BAR option.

Not all GPU supports it though.
