I bought a 3060ti used off of Facebook market place. When I seated it everything ran smooth for about 30 minutes. The problem that started was all games crash. I’ve already re-sat the Gpu update driver delete and installed and from what I can tell off gpuz it isn’t over clocked. The harder the game is to run the sooner it crashes. When it does crash Gpu usage spikes to 100%. I haven’t been able to find any solutions to it. Below are two videos of a reoccurring problem in rdr2. I deleted the game reinstalled and still having this problem.

CPU-Ryzen 5600

PSU-600w silver evga

RAM-32gb vengeance 3600

MB-Asus b550

tested all part and they run fine the common denominator is the Gpu.

Temps are fine never go above 60

What does the power draw on the card look like when it crashes? If you grab HWINFO64 and run it in sensors only mode, you can tell it to log a file. It'll give you an Excel spreadsheet. As I've got time here at work I can look through that.

https://www.hwinfo.com/download/

What exact power supply? I don't know of any actual good 600W Silver EVGA power supplies. If it's a bad unit and the 3060ti is pushing the power supply harder than your old graphics card I wouldn't be surprised if this is the cause of the crashes.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I’ll download and run that today and let you know tonight what it says I have noticed it spikes to 100% usage when it crashes

What type of auxiliary power connector does that card have? If it’s like a 2 by 8pin make sure you have two separate cables from the psu to the card.

It’s an 8 and a six and pretty sure I’ll check later but it’s one cable the splits into two.

If it is more than 1x8 pin you need two cables from the psu.

Good practice? yes. Required? no. Not for a 3060ti. 3060 ti on stock clocks is 210W worst case scenario. You get that from 1 8 pin and the x16 slot.

I had hwinfo open and it was going up to 225 but spiked super hard and everything crashed. Is my card drawing too much power?
