Budget (including currency): around € 3000

Country: Belgium

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All types of games, some photo and video editing and a bit of 3D work

OS: Windows

Monitors: 2-3 (the main one 144Hz 1080p, tho it will be upgraded in the future to a higher res monitor)

Hi,

Below a build I made with a configurator from a local supplier. It adds up to about € 3200. I want to run AMD and a 4080.

What would be more optimal?

Is there something that is massive overkill? (I do prefer a bit of overkill over it being 'just fine')

Does the choice/amount of fans make sense?

I'd love to hear your suggestions as I do not have much experience with most of these parts.

  • Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO midi tower case
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 4,2 GHz (5,0 GHz Turbo Boost) socket AM5 processor
  • Motherboard: GIGABYTE B650 GAMING X AX, socket AM5 motherboard
  • CPU-Cooler: be quiet! Pure Loop 360mm water cooling
  • GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GAMING OC
  • Memory: G.Skill 32 GB DDR5-6000 Kit
  • SSD: SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO, 1 TB SSD
  • Case fans: 6x Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 case fan
  • Power supply: Corsair RM1000x (2021) 1000W Power supply

It's nice, but you should make a pcp list to check pricing

Only thing I'd change are the fans : it's useless to get 2000rpm fans as case fans, cause unless you're deaf you don't want them to go above 1000rpm or so !

Any decent fans less costly will be as good, Arctic are cheap and good, or  BeQuiet to have same fans than your AIO
