I know both of these must have a lot going for them to be the pretty much uncontested cpu makers for so long. But even so,are there times when either is the distinct winner in a catagory, like say I want a cpu thats £200 and I want to use it for gaming and school stuff who would be the better choice, equally if I had £500 to spend and I wanted to use it for gaming, adobe premiere and other difficult programs what would be best?

Thank you 😊

If you can find a 13700(f) for around ryzen 7700(x) pricing then go intel

if you can find ryzen 7900(x) for around 13700(f) pricing go amd

Depends on what budget were talking about for the whole build and what usecase cause ryzen 5500 and sometimes 12600k(f) are great for low budget and the 13600k(f), 13700(f), 7700(x), 7900(x) are great for basically everything else
