Check reviews for every cable that claims compatibility and hope someone tested it and confirmed in a review or the questions section that it works.

The Switch's USB-C implementation is slightly off-standard so the only way to guarantee it works is to get their kit. Sucks, I misplaced my charger somewhere so I can't use my dock till I either find it or buy a new brick, I guess at least they're very high quality (at least in my experience) so it takes some of the sting out of the price.

I'll just buy a normal Nintendo one I'll pay the premium for it but it will be worth it to not mess with looking at cheaper cables

Buying another one that provides enough power but these have most of the time led to broken switches due to firmware updates from nintendo
