Did you try setting its fan speed manually? Different fans have different speeds at which they can operate. Maybe you set a fan curve, that sets it to a speed at which it just turns off?

hi.

at the moment i have 3 different types of fan in my systemm 3 lianli fans (2 140 intakes and 1 120 exaust) a 120mm coolermaster fan on my cpu cooler. and a corsair exaust. they all work fine but my corsair fan spins up then turns of as soon as the system posts.... i tried it in many different system fan slots (including the cpu cooler slot) with no differense. it would ramp up reamp down then just stop.... the odd thing is that i have a few of these corsair fans that im not using and i tried with another one and the same results.... even tho that fan worked last time i used it.

i discussed this with @filpo but nothing of it

yes it will. But I'd individually set a curve for that fan, so it is actually off. Otherwise it keeps trying to turn on, which is probably not good for it on the long run. Or set the curve slightly less aggressive for it 😄
