Is this cable normal?

Is this and this what HDMI cables are supposed to look like cause there is a pin missing as you can see.

No, that seems damaged to me.

that's the +5v pin damaged.. somehting went terribly wrong there.

Is this one ok?  
 

Cuz the last one also worked. I just noticed luckily when I was unplugging for different reasons.

the damaged pin powers the EDID circuit while the display is off.. i'm assuming it gets internal power when the display is on either way.
